Although we were in the Dolomites at the beginning of July, the summer season was very late, and there was still 30cm of snow in some high meadows only 10 days prior to our visit. Consequently, as we have not included species which may also be seen in the UK, and which are shown elsewhere on this site, the number of butterflies below is limited.
